“Winter” is a 48 x 48 inches acrylic on canvas. It is dedicated to the mysterious time of winter sunset at the forest’s border. It is that time of the day when the ground is brighter than the sky. The canvas was modified before the paint was applied, using repeated treatments of gesso mixed with cellophane. This process gives a 3D feel to the piece due to the heavy texture of the supporting surface.
